The 10th Annual Safety Recognition Program (SRP), held in Gainesville, Texas, welcomed finalists, leadership, and team members for an afternoon of recognition, reflection, and celebration—culminating in one unforgettable moment.
Meet the Winner: Oscar Renteria
Oscar Renteria, a CDL driver for Select Chemistry, based in Midland, Texas, isn’t the kind of person to cut corners. For 17 years, he has built a reputation grounded in discipline, consistency, and a deep sense of responsibility; not just for his own safety, but for the people around him.
His commitment shows up in the details: meticulous pre-trip inspections, a zero-incident mindset, and a willingness to step in and improve operations wherever he sees an opportunity.
Oscar’s impact goes beyond his day-to-day role. From helping establish a dedicate return inspection line at his yard to identifying hazards and improving workflows, his influence has helped to raise the standard for safety across his team.
